Anthracite FC is Northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier soccer club based in Scranton, PA. The club was founded in 2024 after transitioning from Riverfront United FC to become a 501(c)(3) non-profit soccer club serving the historical Anthracite region (Lackawanna, Luzerne, Carbon, Northumberland & Schuylkill Counties).

The mission of Anthracite Football Club (AFC) is to provide accessible and high-quality competitive soccer opportunities for youth.

We aim to promote inclusivity, personal growth, and community engagement. By focusing on player development, teamwork, and character building, we’re going to educate and empower young athletes with the skills and values necessary to succeed both on and off the field.
